Getting started
Quickstart
Get your credentials and make your first API call in five minutes.
Before you start
- A Moallet console account. Accounts are issued by your account manager.
- An app created in the console. New apps start as Pending approval.
1
Create an app
In the console:
- Sign in to the console.
- Open Apps and choose Create app.
- Enter a name, an optional description and your website.
- Copy the client secret shown after creation. It's shown only once.
2
Find your credentials
Your app's Developer tab shows the App ID and Client ID, and lets you regenerate the client secret.
- App ID
- 3f6c1a52-8d4e-4b7a-9c21-5e0d7b8a9f14
- Client ID
- k3Zq8vN2pX7rT1yW5mB9cD4fG6hJ0sLaQeR2uI8oP1A
- Client secret
- ••••••••••••••••••••••••
Keep the secret on your server.
Never ship the client secret in browser or mobile code, and keep it out of version control.
3

Create a customer
Call POST /users/ when one of your users first needs a wallet. Calling it again with the same user_id returns the same customer and address, so it's safe to call every time.
Request example
curl -X POST "https://api.moallet.com/api/partner/{app_id}/users/" \
-H "Authorization: ApiKey {client_id}:{client_secret}" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"user_id": "customer-1001"
}'See the Customers API for the full request and response.
